Join Us in the Garden: Volunteer Days at Bothy Gardens

As we continue our journey to restore Bothy Gardens to its former glory, we’re excited to invite you to be a part of this transformative process. Since purchasing the property in 2021, we’ve poured our hearts into bringing the disused Bothy and its surrounding Georgian walled garden back to life. From restoring the historic structures to cultivating rare and unique plants, it’s been an incredible adventure filled with both challenges and triumphs.

Now, as we move into the next phase of our project, we’re opening the garden gates to welcome volunteers passionate about gardening, history, and making a difference. We’ve set aside four days each month for volunteer days, with two-hour time slots available twice a day (10:00-12:00 & 15:00-17:00). Whether you’re an experienced gardener or just looking to lend a hand, we’d love for you to join us.

The work we’ll be focusing on during these volunteer days includes:

• Weeding

• Planting,

• Moving stone,

• Finishing Paths

• General Cleanup to prepare the garden for winter.

It’s the kind of hands-on work that will help us bring this space closer to our vision of a flourishing, vibrant garden that honours its history while embracing a sustainable future.

With only three places available for each time slot, we encourage you to sign up early. You can sign up for more than one slot; however, if you’d like to bring a friend or family member over six years of age, please have them sign up for a slot as well!
